Anonymous Use, No Account System

The Service does not offer or require user accounts, registration, or login. All use of the Service is anonymous; we do not maintain any per-user profile.

Eligibility

The Service is intended for a general audience. If you are a minor, you should use the Service with the awareness and, where appropriate, the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. The Service does not perform age verification because it does not collect any identifying information.

Accuracy of Information

Product identification, ingredient information, and safety analyses provided by the Service — whether sourced from Open Food Facts (a community-maintained third-party database) or identified/analyzed by an AI model (Google Gemini) via web search or a photo you submit — are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate, complete, current, or error-free. See our Disclaimer for details; its terms are incorporated into and form part of these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, layout, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Hamary (the operator of the Service) or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as necessary to use the Service as intended, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Prohibited Conduct

• Sending an abnormal or excessive volume of requests to the Service or its underlying API, or otherwise attempting to overload it.
• Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Service other than through its intended scan feature.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive the source code of the Service.
• Submitting deliberately malformed, falsified, or manipulated barcode or product data with intent to abuse, disrupt, or manipulate the Service or its analysis results.
• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its data, or the systems on which it runs.

Advertising

The Service may display advertisements served through Google AdSense (web) and Google AdMob (native app). As of the date of these Terms, no advertising is active. Once enabled, ads will be subject to Google's own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or the sites they link to.

Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. We are not liable for any consequences of such changes, suspension, or termination.

Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Because the Service does not collect any means of contacting you directly, we will post any changes on this page along with an updated “Last updated” date rather than notifying you individually.
